Sansaw Estate makes it a triple!

The owners of a well-known Shropshire landmark have once again pledged to support us ahead of our bid to raise more than £100,000 from riotous rainbows.

Sansaw Estate, which spans over 1,500 hectares across the North Shropshire countryside, has been supporting Lingen Davies Cancer Fund since 2022 by hosting our popular Shrewsbury Colour Run. To date the event has raised £85,000 which will be spent on projects and equipment to help those living locally who are impacted by cancer, as well as funding vital life-saving cancer awareness work.

James and Asa Thompson, owners of the Sansaw Estate, have given their backing to the event again enabling people to enjoy a 5km colour run in the safety of an off-road environment.

Lizzy Ellis, Fundraising Events Lead for Lingen Davies, said thanks to Sansaw for their support.

“The Shrewsbury Colour Run is one of the most popular events in our diary. It has raised over £85,000 since it began and we’re sure we can hit the £100,000 mark this year thanks to the support of our Lingen Davies community.

“We rely heavily on the support of businesses like Sansaw to be able to host such successful events and generate as much income as possible to fund the vital services needed for patients throughout Shropshire and Mid Wales,” she added.

Adam Osbaldiston, Estate Manager, said: “We’re proud to be supporting Lingen Davies once again this year and to help boost the important work they undertake for those impacted by cancer in the community. To hear the event has raised nearly £100,000 to date is excellent.”

This year’s Shrewsbury Colour Run is taking place on Saturday, 4th May. To find out more about the event, visit www.lingendavies.co.uk/events
