By reaching out into the wider community we are working to help prevent cancer by actively talking to the public, helping people recognise the signs and symptoms of cancer, encouraging them to seek treatment earlier, and accept cancer screening invitations.
The LiveLife Cancer Awareness Service is available to communities throughout our region as a mobile facility. Community groups, organisations, and large-scale event organisers can access and book the free resource to attend their meeting or event. We also offer in-house sessions for corporate partners and local businesses who may wish to run cancer awareness courses or days.
One of the most effective ways of improving cancer survival is early detection and diagnosis. People diagnosed with cancer at an early stage have the best chance of survival. Early diagnosis means an increased range of treatment options and improved quality of life.
We also want to help people reduce their risk of developing cancer:
Helping people make small lifestyle changes can make a big difference.
We are also able to deliver presentations, talks and workshops on a range of cancer related topics to community groups, schools, colleges and workplaces. These can either be held in person or virtually, as requested.
We also provide a LiveLife Cancer Awareness corporate offer to our corporate sponsors and supporters.
As part of the LiveLife Cancer Awareness Service, we have been working alongside some amazing local groups and organisations.
We are proud to be working alongside NHS Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin on a cancer awareness project to reduce the number of people losing their lives to cancer in our region.
