Our Colour Run secures the support of 5 local businesses!

Lingen Davies Cancer Fund are delighted to have secured sponsorship from 5 local businesses for their Colour Run in March 2020.

Headline sponsor Six Ticks, and other sponsors Henshalls Insurance, Peakes Travel Elite, Hometyre and Thomas Consulting have all pledged their support for the second event of this kind the charity has hosted. Lingen Davies, who raise money to make a positive difference to lives affected by cancer in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and Mid Wales, are hoping to double the amount of participants who take part in their colourful run and increase the amount the event raises – which will be made ever easier by the generous backing of these companies.

Steff Henson, Six Ticks Sales Director said “We are so pleased to be able to support Lingen Davies Cancer Fund by sponsoring the water stations and event t-shirts.

“As a Shropshire digital and software business, we are local to Lingen Davies Cancer Fund and we are well aware of the fantastic work they do with people affected by cancer across the region. We hope there will be a huge turnout at the event, with the whole community coming together to raise as much as possible for such an important cause.

“The Six Ticks team will of course be there on the day taking part in the event and we can’t wait to join in the crazy colourful fun!”

Dave Williams, from Henshalls also says “Lingen Davies have supported friends and family of Henshalls staff over the years and we are absolutely delighted to support such a fun event”

The charity have just hit another fundraising target of £105,000, raised since June of this year, which will go towards buying 2 EBUS scopes to help with the diagnosis of lung cancer, for the Lingen Davies Cancer Centre at Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, and are now looking to raise funds for their next appeal, which will be launched before the end of this year.

The Shrewsbury Colour Run will take place at the West Midlands Showground on 28th March 2020 and entries are now open! Entry is £20 per adult, and £7 per child. Entry fees include a pair of sunglasses, a white t-shirt to get covered in paint on the day, and your very own 200g bag of powder paint.

Lizzy Coleman, Events and Fundraising Officer at Lingen Davies comments “It’s great to see local businesses getting involved with the charity. We were so pleased with the success of our first colour run earlier this year, and so are looking forward to working with these companies to make the next one bigger and better!”

You can sign up to the Colour Run here.

Sponsorship opportunities are still available for the Shrewsbury Colour Run, with many benefits for both your business and the charity. Contact Lizzy on [email protected] for more information.
