Lingen Davies Colour Run 2020

We had so much fun at our Ruby Run on 30th March 2019, that we want to do it all over again! We’re excited to announce our Colour Run for 2020!

On 28th March 2020, this non-competitive 5K will see the West Midlands Showground transformed into a sea of colour! This time we’ll be throwing a mixture of colours at our participants (we kept it red in 2019 in honour of our Ruby Anniversary).

The Colour Run is open to people of all ages, and all abilities, who want to have fun whilst raising funds to support the work we do, and it’s not all about running – you can walk, jump, skip, hop, anything you like as you go round the 5K. As you make your way around the course, marshals will be placed at set points along the route to shower you with as much coloured powder as possible! Ending the run with a clean t-shirt is not an option!

If you take part in the Colour Run you will be given a runners pack which contains a white t-shirt for you to wear on the day, a pair of sunglasses and your own 100g bag of coloured powder to douse whoever you like! You’ll also be rewarded for your efforts with a medal at the finish line! You’ll be able to pick up your runners pack at registration on 28th March.

Once you sign up, you’ll also receive an information pack in the post.

Registration costs £20 per adult, or £7.00 for children aged 12 and under. Anyone under the age of 18 must have a signed parental consent form, anybody under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

The registration fee is mainly there to cover the cost of the event (although we’re aiming to make a small profit on this!) so we’d love it if you could raise some more funds to be able to help us continue to fund projects that help local people effected by cancer. It would be great if adults could raise £50 and children £25 but we realise this may not be possible for everyone, so however much you are able to raise is appreciated. You can raise funds from asking people to sponsor you, holding a bake sale or dress down day or any fundraising idea you can think of!

We raised over £13,000 from our Ruby Run in 2019! An incredible effort from our participants!

The course will be held mainly on hard paths, but some areas will be a grass surface, so if you have any access issues, please get in touch so we can advise you.

Any pets or animals are not permitted (including guide dogs due to the health risk to the animal)

Sponsors

Sixticks are kind sponsors of our Colour Run T-shirts and the Water Stations along the route!

We’re pleased to announce that Henshalls Insurance and Peakes Travel Elite will be sponsoring a Colour Station!

Entries for the 2020 Colour Run are now closed. Thank you to everyone who has signed up to make it an amazing event! We’ll be opening entries for the 2021 Colour Run soon! Keep your eyes peeled!!
