Hawkstone Park Golf Club raises over £10,000 in 2 years

Hawkstone Park Golf Club has raised £11,376 for our charity in the last 2 years.

Following £5,230 that was raised in 2018, everyone at Hawkstone Park Golf Club is absolutely delighted to present Lingen Davies Cancer Fund with another cheque for £6,146 in 2019.

A series of fund raising activities at the Golf Club were generously supported throughout the year by their members.  Also, by their sponsors on the Captains Charity Day and the visitors who played in their Open competitions.

Captain David said….

“It is very appropriate to include the wonderful team of Sisters and Nurses from the Day Treatment Centre in the presentation of the cheque for 2019, especially as I have been, and still am, a regular ‘customer’.” He goes on to add, “The level of calm, professionalism and reassurance that you feel when you arrive at the Day Treatment Centre is amazing and uplifting.

My personal experience has to endorse Lingen Davies as one of the leading Cancer Treatment Centres in the UK.”

Naomi Atkin, CEO of Lingen Davies Cancer Fund added “This is an amazing contribution over two years from Hawkstone Park Golf Club, and we are very grateful to receive this support. We are very fortunate that people in our community continue to find effective and innovative ways to raise funds and help us make sure that these excellent services are available to the people of Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin, and Mid Wales. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this great total!”
