The Shrewsbury branch of Swedish bank Handelsbanken have raised £805.00 to support our 40th Anniversary Appeal. The funds were raised at a Beaujolais lunch held at Shrewsbury’s Henry Tudor House, and will contribute to our £1.25 million total. 60 of Handelsbanken’s local professionals were invited to attend and funds were raised through ticket sales and a generously supported raffle!
Handelsbanken branch manager Lindsay Pearson said “We are really pleased to be able to support this vital local cause. This is a cause that is important to many of us and it’s great to see the funds going in to support the 40th Anniversary Appeal. We’re grateful to all our guests who donated on the day”.
Lingen Davies aims to raise £1.25 million in time for its 40th birthday in June 2019. The appeal will fund a range of projects focussing on three priority areas: cancer prevention and early diagnosis, effective treatment, and life beyond cancer. To find out more about our appeal click here
Naomi Atkin, Lingen Davies’ Executive Officer commented… “Our latest a huge challenge for us to raise this money and support from local businesses like Handelsbanken is fantastic to have. We are very grateful for this generous donation, and it will help us make a real difference to lives affected by cancer in our region”
