Covid-19: Keeping us all safe

Our fundraising office will re-open on Monday 12th April at 9am. If you would like to visit the office, please call or email before your visit…just so that we can make sure we’re sticking to government guidelines. 01743 492396 or [email protected]

Fundraising

Like all charities in these uncertain times Lingen Davies Cancer Fund has been hugely financially impacted and are concerned about the continuing impact the pandemic may have on our fundraising. Our income is down by 57% compared to last year, as we rely heavily on our annual income being generated from voluntary donations. As our local communities restricted movement earlier this year we took the decision to cancel all of our scheduled events including our Shrewsbury Colour Run, Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea and Summer Ball. We were devastated to have to make these decisions but the safety of our participants, staff and volunteers is crucial.

We are extremely grateful for all of the support we get from the local community whether that is from donations of time, money or services. However in this time of financial uncertainty we urge supporters who are able to, to support where they can. You can make a donation (here) which would be gratefully received, especially if you could commit to a regular amount (here) to provide us some certainty in the months ahead. Donors who give a monthly donation to our charity will be welcomed to our ‘Friends of Lingen Davies’ Scheme…you can find out more about that here.

We know being there for cancer patients, and their families, in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and Mid Wales is so important and so, we want to make sure we are still there for them when the Coronavirus pandemic is over.

Thank you for your continued support.
