Charity set for boost as three Shropshire businesses become corporate sponsors for 2024

Three more Shropshire businesses are hoping to raise thousands of pounds for us after dedicating the year ahead to fundraising.

Lyreco in Telford, Pipekit Ltd based in Shrewsbury and Lowfield Timber in St Martins have all chosen Lingen Davies Cancer Fund as their charity of the year – and we couldn’t be more pleased.

Helen Knight, Head of Fundraising, said: “We are always happy when a business tells us that Lingen Davies is their charity of the year, but to have three similar messages from businesses all over Shropshire at the same time was a great start to 2024.

“We are really looking forward to hearing about how each business plans to raise money throughout the year and how we can support them in any way. These are three very different industries in three different towns but the accumulative effect will be felt by those in need of our services across the whole of Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin, and Mid Wales.

“Any money raised will be vital funds but we are also so pleased to know there will be more conversations about cancer being had across the county and more awareness raised.

“We are so pleased and thankful to each of these businesses for choosing our charity as their charity of the year.”

Office supplies and workplace solutions company Lyreco is based in Donnington and has been in business since 1926.

Pipekit Ltd on Longden Road is an award-winning distributor of specialist pipework solutions and is an independent family-run business.

Lowfield Timber in St Martins has been supplying engineered timber products to self-builders, local small builders and larger national developers for more than 20 years.
