Celebrating the Success of iCan Cancer Rehabilitation

Lingen Davies has been proudly funding the excellent iCan Cancer Rehab programme for the last three years – during which time more than 1,000 people have benefitted from the course.

An initial five-week programme delivers gentle, focussed physical rehabilitation alongside support with nutrition, fatigue, mental health and emotional wellbeing. We know from listening to feedback that the course has been hugely valued by those living with and beyond cancer throughout our community, and its popularity has lead to sessions being run in person in Shrewsbury, Telford, Oswestry and Newtown – as well as online.

The initial five-week course is complemented by follow-on sessions to help people build on their rehabilitation.

Radio Shropshire visited Shrewsbury’s Sports Village to interview Gareth Mapp, Director of iCan, and some of the participants – many of whom have made firm friendships through attending the course.
