Philanthropy Fundraiser / Trusts and Foundations Fundraiser

Salary: £27,745
Working Hours: Full Time (37.5 hours) or 30 hours, negotiable

About the roles

We have some big fundraising plans, and as we look towards a major appeal later this year, we are growing our fundraising team.

These two new roles focus on philanthropic giving, an area we hope to significantly develop in the coming years. Our Philanthropy Fundraiser will focus on corporate, major donor and regular givers, ensuring we maintain great relationships with all these groups, as well as bringing new supporters on board. Our Trusts and Foundations Fundraiser will be able to write compelling cases for support, bringing in funding from a range of charitable trusts to support delivery of our programmes, directly supporting people living with cancer in our region. They will be detail focussed, able to engage suitable funders and work effectively with colleagues to identify opportunities to attract support.

Both roles will also support the wider activities of our small but highly effective fundraising team, ensuring that all opportunities to develop our incomes streams are maximised. It is an exciting time to be joining our fundraising team, and if you embrace a challenge and want to help us achieve amazing things for our community, please get in touch.

Please note, the Philanthropy Fundraiser role involves significant travel across our region. Therefore, a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.

Grants and Projects Coordinator

Salary: £27,745
Working Hours: Full Time (37.5 hours) or 30 hours, negotiable

About the role

Our grants programme is growing, and we are proud to have invested almost £1million into local cancer services in 2024 alone. Along with our major capital appeals we are supporting an increasing range of wellbeing projects for people living with cancer, and we are looking for an enthusiastic, organised person with great communication skills to help us develop our grant-making further.

Our Grants and Projects Coordinator will work with applicants from the start of their relationship with us, identifying potential partners, supporting grant applications, and ensuring successful applications lead to successful project launches. They will ensure high quality monitoring and evaluation is in place, with a great eye for detail and strong report writing skills. They will also support the development of our own commissioned and internal service delivery.

They will also work closely with the fundraising team, identifying opportunities to draw down specific funding for proposed projects. This is an opportunity to help us reach more people, ensure that the support we are offering is right for our community, and make sure that our supporters’ money is spent in the very best ways. If you are keen to use your skills to directly support people living with cancer in our region, we would love to hear from you.

Please note, this role involves significant travel across our region. Therefore, a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.

Grants and Projects Coordinator job description

About Us!

Lingen Davies Cancer Fund exists to enhance cancer services and improve lives in Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin, and Mid Wales. Founded in 1979, with the aim of bringing cancer services to Shropshire for the first time, our work is now focused in three key areas: cancer prevention and early diagnosis, excellent treatment delivered locally, and living well with and beyond cancer.

Alongside our traditional grant making work, we have developed a service delivery team within the charity and, alongside charity and NHS partners, work to deliver cancer screening awareness work in the community.

Our team

We are a small, dedicated, and driven team of professionals working to raise cancer awareness throughout our region, and enhance the situation for those people living with and beyond cancer.

All of our staff and volunteers are expected to work with the Lingen Davies values in mind.

Work with us!

If you think you can help us make a positive difference to lives affected by cancer in Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin, and Mid Wales, we would love to hear from you.
